Financial market analysis using deep learning algorithm

The thesis deals with methods for analysis of financial markets, focused on cryptocurrencies. The theoretical part, in a context of virtual currencies, describes block-chain technology, financial indicators and neural networks with recurrent architectures. Main goal is to create a system for giving a recommendation either for buy, or sell the currency. The system consists of designed financial strategy and predicted value of the currency, for which is used financial indicators and LSTM neural network. Tests were performed on Bitcoin, Litecoin and Ethereum historical data from year 2017.

Virtual currency and EU law Abstract This thesis focuses on the very topical issue of virtual currencies and European Union law, highlighting their growing importance in the global context. The introduction provides a historical overview of the evolution of money, from primitive barter to modern decentralized finance (DeFi) and virtual currencies. This context allows for a deeper understanding of the role of cryptocurrencies as the latest stage in the evolution of financial systems and how these currencies are transforming traditional concepts of money and financial transactions. The second part of the thesis presents a detailed introduction to the issues of cryptocurrencies, including the technical categorization of digital assets, explanation of the terminology used, and a description of the individual characteristics of cryptocurrencies, including their advantages and risks. The work also addresses the technological foundation of cryptocurrencies, particularly the distributed ledger technology (DLT), cryptocurrency wallets, and the energy intensity of DLT. The bachelor thesis defines the main determinants affecting the value of virtual currency bitcoin. Through the characteristics of the system of virtual currency Bitcoin have been characterized determinants affecting its value. On the basis of these insights was created econometric model investigating the dependence between the price and its determinants. It is explained by the author and subsequently included the effect of determinants of popularity and total number of transactions on the resulting market value of bitcoin.

This bachelor thesis deals with the comparative analysis in the field of cryptocur-rency trading and its subsequent taxation aimed at natural persons in the Czech Republic and Slovak Republic. The natural persons are entrepreneurs, non-entrepreneurs or employees. It focuses on optimization and quantification of the obligation to tax income from cryptocurrency, social insurance and health insuran-ce. The work itself consists of forming case examples which serve to compare the compulsory yearly income tax payments, social and health insurance. Based on the achieved results, recommendations for the taxation of cryptocurrencies in the Czech Republic are proposed.
Interplay between Bitcoin price and its mining difficulty

Cryptocurrencies are well known asset that almost everyone at least heard of. Some of these cryptocurrencies have all of its supply already in circulation, while others do not. Two biggest cryptocurrencies, Ethereum and Bitcoin, have their supply being increased every day through the process known as mining, which many never even heard of. This process and its interaction with price are the main topic of this thesis. Price and hash rate, which is good and flexible index of difficulty of mining, of Bitcoin and Ethereum are studied and it is shown, that there is an interplay among both currencies but also withing the currency itself.

Volatility of virtual currency Bitcoin

The main topic of this thesis is Volatility of virtual currency Bitcoin. In theoretical part I will focus on significant historical milestones of Bitcoin. We are going to find out, if Bitcoin meets the criteria to be called good money, how is it with inflation and deflation in Bitcoin and what is and how mining works. Practical part is divided into three smaller analyses. The main part looks into fluctuation in the entire history of Bitcoin and attempts to seek for its causes. The second part examines the development of places, where it is possible to pay with Bitcoin. The last part is an inquiry into mining profitability under circumstances in February 2017.
Bitcoin: Media Portrayal of a Cryptocurrency

The main aim of this diploma thesis is to find out how the Czech printed media face relatively new and complex phenomenon that emerged in the monetary sphere - virtual currency bitcoin. Through the means of quantitative content analysis, all printed titles showing relevant references to bitcoin between the years 2009 and 2016 were examined. The thesis is divided into several chapters. The theoretical part contains different media concepts dealing with the agenda-setting, the creation of a media portrayal and the construction of social reality through mass media. From a theoretical point of view, the cryptocurrency bitcoin was also subject for detailed analysis. The following methodological part of the thesis introduces the main objective of research, research questions and research design. The analytical part provides a clear overview of the results obtained, then interpreted and compared with predetermined hypothesis. The overview of collected findings about the media image of the virtual currency bitcoin in the Czech press are summarized in the conclusion. The thesis is the first paper to deal with the issues of the virtual currency bitcoin from the point of view of media discourse in the Czech Republic, and its ambition was to gather completely new information on this topic.

The aim of this Thesis is to depict current challenges that this area of financial law faces and to propose a basis for regulation that can be implemented in the Czech Republic. The main topic of this Thesis is virtual currencies, more specifically Bitcoins and their status within the system of payment services regulations. After a short introduction, the first chapter of this Thesis describes theoretical background of payment services regulation, especially general and specific aims of legislation in this area of financial law, by addressing it in full context of private and public law. Analysis of measures against money laundering in the banking sector in Russia and the Czech Republic

The bachelor thesis is focused on analysis of contemporary money laundering problem in Czech Republic and Russia. In this connection, emphasis is placed on cyber risk and risk in IT sphere. The first part is devoted to theoretical definition of money laundering, description of virtual currency and shows on example the use of virtual currency to launder money from criminal activities. The second part focuses on the activities of the authorities, responsible for preventing money laundering in both states, and legislative regulation the field of AML. The last part is a summary and discussion of the effectiveness of AML regulation in the Czech Republic and Russia.
